March Featured Artist - Claudia Interrante

The Charleston Artist Guild is proud to announce Claudia Interrante as its Featured Artist for March. Her exhibition, The Art of Pouring Water, will present a captivating collection of her latest works exploring movement, fluidity, and the unexpected beauty created through poured acrylic techniques.

After spending 15 years in the corporate advertising world and licensing her illustrations to the surface design and stationery industries, Claudia has turned her full attention to fine art. Recently, she has become fascinated with the science and spontaneity of pouring acrylic paint. While she may begin with an idea in mind, the chemical reactions that occur on the canvas introduce an element of unpredictability. Sometimes the results align with her vision; other times, the paint creates something entirely new. From there, she refines each piece, allowing water imagery to emerge and guide the composition. Swirls, cells, and pearlescent textures pull the viewer’s eye inward, making the flowing background itself the true subject.

Guests are invited to attend the opening reception for The Art of Pouring Water during the Charleston Art Walk on Friday, March 6, from 5–8 p.m. at the Charleston Artist Guild Gallery in Charleston. Visitors will have the opportunity to meet the artist, enjoy refreshments, and experience Claudia’s newest collection firsthand.
